About Us | Ola Linda

Ocean-Born, Ethically Worn

Our Story

Born in 2023 on the sun-baked shores of Pimentel, Peru, Ola Linda began as a partnership between local artisans and a dream for fair-trade fashion. Where the Pacific Ocean meets ancient craft traditions, we're building bridges—between Swiss design and Peruvian heritage, between ethical business and wearable art.

Who We Are

1. Artisan-First Philosophy

We collaborate with skilled craftspeople across Peru—from female weavers in Chiclayo to family-run workshops preserving ancestral techniques.

  • Proudly women-founded and led

  • Mixed-gender artisan partnerships (because equality means opportunity for all)

  • 200% above fair-trade wages

2. Slow Fashion Reimagined

  • Small batches made to order

  • Native materials (Pima cotton, junco reed, coconut shell)

  • Zero-waste philosophy

3. Cultural Stewardship

Each piece carries generational knowledge—like Don Miguel's 40 years weaving junco reed or The Herrera family's sewing techniques.

Meet the Founder

"Ola Linda exists to prove fashion can honor both people and planet. When you choose us, you're not buying a product—you're preserving culture."
— Susan Katharina Prada

Our Name

"Ola Linda" carries the rhythm of the ocean and the warmth of human connection.

In Spanish, it means "beautiful waves"—a tribute to the Pacific shores of Pimentel where our journey began, and to the strength and resilience of women, powerful as the sea.

In Portuguese, it greets you with "hello, beautiful"—a joyful celebration of self-worth and craftsmanship.

And in Peru, where the phrase dances off the tongue as a common greeting, it reflects our belief: every interaction, every garment, every choice should leave people feeling seen and valued.

Like waves returning to shore, Ola Linda is about cycles of empowerment—from artisan to wearer, from tradition to tomorrow.
